BRANDON, Miss. (WJTV) – The City of Brandon held a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday for a new mixed-use development.
The Heights at Brandon will bring 96 luxury residential lofts, an 82-room boutique hotel and restaurant, abundant greenspace, and 18,000 square-feet of retail space along with an additional upscale restaurant to the city. It will be located just west of the city’s Municipal Complex.
“The city is excited to mark the commencement of this development,” said Brandon Mayor Butch Lee. “The Heights at Brandon will deliver a mix of residential and retail opportunities, along with first-class dining and a variety of outdoor activities that are unique not only to the city, but to Rankin County.”
The Heights will be developed by The Thrash Group, of Hattiesburg, with Dale Partners Architects, P.A., of Jackson, serving as the design firm.
The construction costs are estimated at $55 million.
