SUMMARY:
Our firm provided full architectural services for the restoration/renovation of this historic campus building. The building was named for the first MSU president, Stephen D. Lee, when it was built in 1909. Its location terminates the north end of the drill field at the core of the campus. Planning involved research to determine a period most significant to restoration efforts and concentrated on interior work while identifying exterior elements needing repair or upgrade. The mechanical and electrical systems were replaced and upgrades integrated new technology for classrooms. The building occupies the most prominent site on campus and serves as an anchor for future restoration efforts of building on campus of historic significance.
