SUMMARY:
Our firm was selected as a part of a joint venture for a new Civil Rights Museum and Mississippi History Museum for the state of MS. The new museums are located on a prominent downtown site along North State Street next to several civic buildings with a plaza and common entry court. The museums share a centralized entry hall, reception area, auditorium and grand stair with the Civil Rights Museum located on the right and the History Museum on the left. The first floor houses a museum store and catering kitchen with offices, galleries and a ceremonial office suite on the second floor.
