SUMMARY:

Fertile Ground Beer Company is  located in the new Belhaven Town Center, in the heart of the Belhaven neighborhood. Newly opened, Fertile Ground is the anchor tenant for the Laundry Market development, a renovated circa 1981 hospital laundry facility. The client challenged the design team to create a new kind of brew pub experience for their guests, a more polished "Brewery 2.0", with the focus on color, comfort and hospitality. The result is half micro-brewery, half social hub, artfully integrated into the surrounding residential neighborhood. A variety of interior and exterior spaces serve both beer aficionados eager to explore the world of craft beer, and  neighbors and passersby looking for community, shade and a cold one.  Large storefront windows open the double height tap room, and a private meeting venue to the beer garden and street beyond. Inside, colored wall graphics and neon signage welcome guests to take their pick of a variety of different seating areas, and ponder hops sculptures, or gaze through glass, past the tanks, to the magic happening in the brewhouse.
